Vintage Trains at Marylebone Station

Events and Tours, transport issues

I think this is a case of caveat emptor, as while “vintage trains” are promised, they seem to be a footnote to a larger event.

Basically, it is the 100th anniversary of Birmingham Moor Street Station on Saturday, so Chiltern Railways are hosting an event at London’s Marylebone Station. There is a certain logic to this bizare idea, as they happen to run trains between the two cities.

We are promised some Bollywood Dancing, samples of Birmingham’s best food, from the “Taste of Birmingham”, and displays from 17 specially chosen companies firms who stumped up the exhibition fee.

Oh, and Vintage Trains.

This Thursday from 11am to 7pm.

I have an odd affinity for Chiltern, having previously lived on the Chiltern line and Chiltern Railways doing a good job. Shame the event is on a weekday though!
