History of Oxford Circus Tube Station
| 23rd Nov 1984 | On the evening of 23rd November 1984, a contractor's hut in a cross passage between the northbound Bakerloo and Victoria lines caught fire, badly damaging the northbound Victoria Line platform and the cross-passages between the two northbound lines. Services along both lines were disrupted until the following day although trains were unable to stop at the station until 30th November. |
