Wellbeing and economics: how to make strategic value-based decisions

Wellbeing is now recognised as a vital factor in development, from planning permission through to property marketing and ultimately into operational life-cycle performance analysis. In November 2017 the government published the Industrial Strategy White Paper, identifying 'whole life value' as a key element of the Construction Sector Deal and signaling the importance of long-term user wellbeing for development projects.

This event brings together the designer and wellbeing specialist Elina Grigoriou, economics expert Simon Rubinsohn of RICS and social value return champion Jonathan Schifferes of the RSA, to discuss the issue of wellbeing, economics and real value within their respective fields.

The panel will seek to explore how we could take value discussions to reflect more than simply cost on day-to-day project delivery, how to value things that matter most, and how to plan and develop with wellbeing as the key driver factored into the financials.
