In 1911, Henry Wellcome’s agent, Paira Mall, was sent to India to collect objects and local botanical knowledge for both Wellcome’s museum and the potential development of pharmaceutical products.
But the significance of plants in wellbeing goes far beyond their use in medicinal drugs.
