SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

Thank you

Finally progress at Victoria Tube Station where the new escalators to Victoria Line have come into use linking south ticket hall with interchange subways below. And while not yet in use the new lift from South ticket hall to Circle, District and Victoria lines is now just protected by cord .

Progress on westbound platform has seen new stairs opened together with lift now just waiting for service.

is there a lift / escalator to the ticket office level from the rail station yet? Those stairs are a killer with luggage!

    • Melvyn says:

Not yet but if you want Victoria Line lifts from Cardinal Place entrance/exit are available but you need to cross Victoria Street with luggage…..

Good on London Northwestern Railway that will be using the Class 230s to operate in the Marston Vale Line between Bletchley and Bedford and to replace the Class 150 and Class 153 DMU units to either any train operators that might use them such as Northern, KeliosAmey Wales or GWR.

Plus with West Midlands Railway to inherit the Class 172/0s from London Overground in November to operate them on the Coventry-Nuneaton and Coventry-Leamington Spa services.

    • Andrew Gwilt says:

Spotted a grammar error. “Good on London Northwestern Railway that “they” will be using on the Marston Vale Line between Bletchley and Bedford”.
