History of Chingford Rail Station

21st Nov 1960The railway was electrified with the firs electric trains calling at the station on 21st November 1960
2nd Sep 1878The station was moved to its current location on 2nd September 1878
17th Nov 1873The station first opened near its current location - in Bull Lane (now Kings Road) at the very end of Hale End Road (now Larkshall Road) - on 17th November 1873
