Join us at Waterstones Tottenham Court Road for an evening of feminist political analysis, and an unforgiving look at the world of British politics from two women at the centre of it.
In an exclusive New Statesman event, Helen Lewis will be talking to Labour MP Jess Phillips about her new book ‘Everywoman: One Woman’s Truth About Speaking the Truth’.
Jess Phillips was elected to the seat of Birmingham, Yardley in 2015. Since entering Parliament, she has quickly gained a reputation for directness, and a distinct disinterest in minced words. Her book is a memoir, a personal account of being a woman in Westminster.
Helen Lewis is Deputy Editor of the New Statesman magazine and a regular political commentator, contributing to Radio 4's Week in Westminster and BBC1's Sunday Politics, amongst others.
