Free FreeVisitors will be able to cast their eyes over vintage police vehicles and original police artefacts that include old-fashioned handcuffs and historic police uniforms from the 1900s.
In keeping with modern policing, there will be a number of stalls explaining the roles of the Safer Neighbourhoods Teams, Response Teams and CID. With children having the opportunity to take part in a junior detective’s competition.
They will also be able stroke police horses and speak directly with local officers and officers from specialist units that include the MPS dogs Unit and the Homicide and Serious Crime Unit. Other partnership agencies will be there such as the British Transport Police and St John's ambulance
There will also be the opportunity for them to be shown around Lewisham custody suite and view the police cells.
