Free FreeThe Greenwich Historical Society presents an illustrated talk by Danny Stephens entitled 'Revolts and Rebellions'. Danny will paint a picture of Greenwich during the period of the Wars of the Roses, including accounts of the Peasant's Revolt, 1381, Jack Cade's rebellion,1450, and the encampment on Blackheath of thousands of revolting Cornishmen in 1497.
Danny Stephens has retained a keen interest in all things history since completing a BA in history and MA in cultural history at Goldsmiths. Recently he has turned his attention to the late medieval period and how the endemic political instability affected society.
