A chance to hear from the second man to step foot on the moon, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who will be at the Science Museum later this month.

Aldrin was selected by NASA in 1963 into the third group of astronauts and on 20 July 1969 made history with Neil Armstrong during their Apollo 11 moonwalk, becoming the first two humans to set foot on another world.

He is almost as famous for punching a moon-landing conspiracy nut.

Professor Brian Cox will be in conversation with him on Sunday 28th Feb at 2pm.

The event will include an opportunity for the audience to ask questions and Aldrin will also be signing copies of his latest books.

Tickets cost £10 and go on sale at 10am on Friday 12th February via the Science Museum website

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

Thank you

Unsurprisingly, the booking form seems to be falling over with demand.
