Experience the world-famous Corps of Drums of His Majesty's Royal Marines Band Service, Ohio University's Marching 110, and a hand-picked selection of the finest community and school marching bands from across the UK.

Experience Band Week in the Gardens

A display for everyone to enjoy, the palace’s East Front Gardens will be complemented by magnificent marching bands doing what they love; creating a musical parade! The colourful uniforms, music and marching formations make this a day to remember and represent a proud heritage of culture and tradition.

The Palace Parade Review

The marching bands in the Palace Parade Review will commence – “step-off” – at timed intervals and will parade for 10 minutes. Halfway through, each band will stop marching and play a favoured piece of music whilst facing the Long Water, before they march to the finish line.

Drum Battle

A competitive tournament of skill, flair and bravado. Marching Band Drum Lines – snare drums, cymbals, tenors, and bass drums – from the UK and America, will go head-to-head in a fast paced, knock-out style competition.
