Ice Sunday is the one day of the year when the Canal Museum can take visitors down into the Victorian ice wells beneath the ground floor, a unique experience.
Those descending must be physically fit, wear sensible shoes, and be aged 13 and over. This involves descent by ladder.
Additional ice-related activities are planned above ground. No additional charge, but the normal museum entrance charges are payable.
There may be a wait for a visit opportunity underground if we are busy. Part of the Festival of Archaeology 2022. Advance booking is not required.
