This is an unusual opportunity to hear the tales of some of the most fascinating and inspirational people in history who are buried at Highgate Cemetery. In a series of online short talks given by our own experienced volunteer guides, you will learn about the lives of these people, their remarkable achievements and their deaths.
The programme is as follows:
‘Numismafia’: How some of the permanent residents of Highgate Cemetery are interconnected by the subject of coins, medals & banknotes. A talk by Henry Flynn
Radclyffe Hall: Christened Marguerite but preferred to be called John. A talk by Julia Johnson
Robert Liston : 'The fastest knife in the West End' who revolutionised modern surgery. A talk by Peter Mills
As this is our first online event series, these talks are not free but we ask for a minimum donation of £1.
You will receive the zoom invitation by email prior to the event.
