As we saw at WiTT's January “Technology in Fashion” event, technology has an increasingly important role in many industries and sectors. In May, we will focus on some of the inroads being made by technology and telecoms into the world of sport, at all levels — everything from enhancing training and improving performance to monitoring and measuring outcomes.
We are working on our line-up of speakers; it currently includes Sam Seddon, IBM Wimbledon Client and Programme Executive, who will share insights into the extensive IBM technology behind the world renowned Wimbledon Tennis Championships; and Sara Horne, a Biomechanics Research Fellow from Brunel University, who will discuss how she has been using specialised technology/data analytics to support the coaching and training of professional athletes. A few more experts will join us to provide a good depth and breadth of content.
Please join us on May 23rd at IBM Southbank offices for an exciting panel discussion where we will hear what is going on today and provide some thoughts of what we can expect next. We'd like to thank IBM for hosting.
We hope to see you there!
