One of our most prominent and acclaimed historians, David Starkey, gives a compelling account of Magna Carta and its story: from its origins, through unfolding impact in Britain and around the world, to its present-day relevance.

David Starkey is an Honorary Fellow of Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, and the author of many books, among them Elizabeth, Six Wives: The Queens of Henry VIII and Henry: Virtuous Prince. He is a winner of the Norton Medlicott Medal for Services to History, and of the WH Smith Prize. He is well known for his radio and television appearances, including series on the Tudors, monarchy and Britain, and a recent BBC2 programme on Magna Carta.
