100 years after the Casino and Sunray Estates were built, learn about their story and how they relate to the national picture.
It is 100 years since the first phase of the Casino and Sunray Estates were completed. The story of how Camberwell Council and the Office of Works built the estates is quite well known but, as ever in Dulwich, the story is more complicated.
This talk by Ian McInnes of the Dulwich Society will fill in many of the gaps and also illustrate how the local position related to the national picture of building better housing for the returning soldier.
