Question Time: a journey round Britain’s quizzes

The engaging Mark Mason unites his passions for travel and trivia in a tour of Britain's quiz nights, from a pub in Edinburgh to the Houses of Parliament, with much incidental and unexpected detail along the way.

A journey in pursuit of light entertainment, in the uncertain months between the referendum and Brexit, also reveals much about a nation at least still united in its enthusiasm for trivia, conundrums and competition. Mark travelled far and wide in pursuit of the ideal quiz, the perfectly formed question, and found far more than fun facts alone.

Ticket price includes tea and homemade cake with the Friends of the City Churches. Proceeds of this event will contribute to the Melba Coombs Memorial fund, which honours the founder of the Friends' long-running Church Watching scheme. Fun fact: the Friends of the City Churches' volunteer Church Watchers now help to keep half of the City of London's historic churches regularly open to visitors.
