However, with the absence of modern anaesthetics and the inability to control infection and blood loss, the Roman surgeon's work could be hazardous in the extreme. Join this fascinated talk by Stefan Urbanowski, education guide and costumed interpreter at Chedworth Roman Villa in Gloucestershire, who will bring many replica instruments and some originals to discuss this interesting topic.
This is the fourth of the four talks on "Our Blood Lecture Series" that are taking place on the Autumn of 2017.
