Dr. Huw Lewis-Jones celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the First Trans-Antarctic Crossing and how it awakened the world to its scientific potential.

Huw will be joined by Prof. David Vaughan, Director of Science BAS, who will bring us up to date with Antarctic research science.

In the aftermath of last year's Nepal earthquake, this evening is an opportunity to give supporters of the Himalayan Trust UK an update on the 'Build Back Better' programme and to raise much needed funds to aid the rebuild.
