An Evening with Streetcat Bob and James Bowen

James Bowen's book 'Streetcat Named Bob' sold over 1 million copies in the UK alone, has been translated into 30 languages, spent over 76 weeks at the top of the Sunday Times bestseller list and is now a feature film starring Luke Treadaway to be released in cinemas in November 2016. Since publication of James's original book, co-authored with Garry Jenkins, a further five books regaling readers with tales of Bob and James's extraordinary partnership have earned them fans all over the world.

The evening will be a unique opportunity to hear James talk to ITN's Alastair Stewart about how meeting a stray cat changed his life and resulted in them busking around Covent Garden and selling the Big Issue together. After the interval, James will be delighted to take questions from the audience.

This inseparable duo whose fascinating story of how an animal can help a human through adversity resonates with the work being done by Ebony Horse Club, a charity in Brixton that uses horses to improve the lives of young people growing up in one of the most disadvantaged wards in the UK. The charity are extremely grateful to James for the interest he has taken in their work. He visited the Club last Christmas and Bob even got a ride on Pedro, the Shetland pony! The evening will include a book signing, raffle and auction with some terrific prizes to raise funds for Ebony Horse Club.
