In the first event in our season on ‘The Future of Housing’, our panel considers the effects and implications of the UK’s housing crisis.
Britain is in the grip of a housing crisis, which despite being recognised by politicians from all sides shows no sign of abating. In this event, a panel of speakers explores the costs of the current housing crisis, assessing their nature and implications – whether social, economic, psychological or environmental.
Speakers:
Alison Brooks – Director, Alison Brooks Architects
Campbell Robb – Chief Executive, Shelter
Polly Toynbee – Author, campaigner and columnist for The Guardian
Tony Travers – Professor, LSE and Director, LSE London
Sarah Gaventa (chair) – Interim Director of the Architecture Foundation
