Monthly weekend opening at the Bentley Priory Museum

This event has finished Took place on: Saturday, 20th Sep 2014

 Free

The Bentley Priory Museum tells the fascinating story of the beautiful Grade 2* listed country house, focussing on its role as Headquarters Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain.

We explain how technology, leadership and courage forged victory allowing Britain’s darkest hour to also be her Finest Hour. We tell the story of ‘The One’– Air Chief Marshal Hugh Dowding, ‘the Few’ who took to air to defend our skies and ‘the Many’ without whose tireless work on the ground victory would not have been possible.

A typical museum visit takes 2-2 ½ hours.

The Bentley Priory Museum is open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We are also open the third Saturday of each month.

Opening hours are 1000-1700 (last entry at 1600).
