Description

A spectacular winter lights trail and artisan Christmas market, complete with pop-up carollers, children’s storytelling, food, drink and merriment, will provide the ultimate festive experience at Dulwich Picture Gallery this December.

Winterlights

From 6-18 December, Dulwich Picture Gallery will re-open at 6pm for Winterlights, a site-wide installation from the creators of Christmas at Kew. The grounds and historic building will be transformed with illuminations from a variety of light sources bringing the Gallery to life after dark. Visitors can follow a dazzling trail along winding paths and explore explosions of colour and light in trees and secluded nooks, with lanterns and bespoke lighting adding to the enchanted atmosphere.

Visitors can also see two contemporary baroque-inspired Christmas trees by 3D art specialists, Nagual Creations, as well as create their own festive family photo at a specially-commissioned giant baroque gold frame in the grounds mirroring the Gallery’s collection.

Throughout each evening choirs will perform Christmas classics and families can book in for Christmas storytelling in the Gallery’s charming, Keepers Cottage. Street food and mulled drinks will be available from a range of vendors including the Gallery’s own Christmas Cabin.

Price:

Saturday & Sunday: £12 Adults, £8 Children, Family ticket (2 adults & 2 children) £36
Tuesday to Friday: £10 Adults, £6 Children, Family ticket (2 adults & 2 children) £30.
