Description

Poster Parade looks at women in design and examines the posters within our collection designed by women over the century. The exhibition narrative begins in 1910, with the first recorded poster designed by a woman for Transport for London, Kew Gardens by Tram.

The aim of this exhibition is to celebrate women as producers, and not simply consumers, of design. The posters in this exhibition will explore a variety of subject matter and approaches to design concepts carried out by women historically in the transport industry.

The poster parade can be found on the Mezzanine on Level 1 of the Museum.
