Description
The Postcard Gardens is an exhibition of artistically crafted postcards and exploratory text centred on a garden theme. Each card had been chosen for its relations to all things green. Delve into each artist’s longstanding exploration of landscape and enjoy the magical nature of the Chelsea Fringe.
The postcards come from a range of artistic mediums from unknown artists to galleries contributors. This is sure to make for an intriguing display of miniature artworks across different platforms, each sharing the theme of nature. Accompanied by Sophie Hill’s expressive words – further windows into card’s image – the Postcard Gardens is an opportunity to remember past talents as well as discover new artworks all brought together under the shared and beloved subject the beautiful world of nature.
As part of Postcard Gardens, Oxford House invites visitors and artists of all ages to ‘draw their garden on a postcard’. All posted entries will join the exhibition on the postcard-wall and a prize will be given to the best entry. Come to Oxford House to pick up a blank postcard and send it or bring it back by the end of the month.
