Description

Legendary music photographer Sheila Rock has photographed many leading artists from the entertainment world, in both the classical and popular music fields.

This free exhibition showcases a selection of her work from Barenboim to U2 and from Rattle to Siouxsie Sioux.

London based since 1970, she was first introduced to the world of music photography through her ex-husband, Mick Rock, also a well-known rock photographer; and she accompanied David Bowie on his American tour during his Ziggy Stardust period. A highly influential photographer during the punk and post punk scene, she later became a dominant force in shaping the look of creative magazines such as The Face.
