The East Edge
A nocturnal walking tour through one of east London's most atmospheric landscapes.
Poet, librarian and literary investigator Chris McCabe is on a mission to discover one great, lost poet in the Victorian cemeteries of London – from Nunhead to West Norwood, and Highgate to Abney Park. In his latest book, The East Edge, Chris has turned his attention to the beautiful Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park in Mile End, unearthing lost poets amongst the overgrown paths and fallen headstones. Join Chris and special guests to launch The East Edge and perform for a nocturnal walking tour like no other. In one of east London’s most atmospheric landscapes, witness a ritual awakening of voices lost to history through poetry, live strings and a disembodied essay.
