Going underground

Experience the mysterious underground world of London's sewers through Rachel Lichtenstein's film Diamond Street. Or join experts from the Museum of London Archaeological Archive and discover some of the weird and wonderful objects that have been scavenged from the banks of the Thames, and re-imagine their stories during our interactive workshops.

Reimagine the city

Take up a scalpel and reshape the city with The Demolition Project, or submerge yourself in an audio walk around the quay, where you will find yourself adrift in a future London, after the ocean has come to claim its lost rivers, flooding the streets and submerging the buildings.

Eat like an East Ender

Dig in to oysters and Bloody Marys from Oyster Boy, and sample beers from the Lost Rivers Brewery, before taking a tour around the Secret Rivers exhibition with our curators to learn about some of the waterways that inspired them.

Ride the river

For a truly submersive experience, step aboard a boat on the quay and be surrounded by the sounds and stories of the docks from years gone by. Be guided through the journey by an oral historian whist taking in the stunning views of the city.

Ben Aaronovitch

Ben Aaronovitch, author of the fantastic Rivers of London series, will be giving a special talk introducing his latest novel Lies Sleeping, and sharing some of the inspiration he has found from London's secret rivers. The talk will be followed by a book signing.
