This event has finished Took place on: Thursday, 7th Feb 2019

Christina Broom was a pioneer for women press photographers in the UK. For many years the Museum of London has cared for over 300 half-plate glass negatives produced by Broom, including images recording a range of suffrage campaign events from processions to fund-raising exhibitions.

Beverley Cook, Curator of Social & Working History at the Museum of London will reveal some of these remarkable images that so evocatively capture the spirit of those who fought so bravely to achieve votes for women.
