This event has finished Took place on: Monday, 10th Feb 2014

 Free

To conclude and complete the If You Build It... series The Architecture will present a final public event exploring the future architectures of arts institutions.

Following events examining the role of the art institution in catalysing change both in the national and international context, the series will move on to dissect the social, economical and urban challenges as well as the impact of recent changes in artistic and curatorial practice and programming in designing future-facing art museums.

The expert panel will consist of Hal Foster, art critic, historian and author of The Art-Architecture Complex (Verso, 2011), and Jacques Herzog, architect and senior partner, Herzog & de Meuron. The discussion will be chaired by Alice Rawsthorn, design critic and author, whose latest book is Hello World: Where Design Meets Life (Penguin, 2013).
