King Harold Day

Based in the Abbey Gardens, Waltham Abbey, this event with a medieval theme commemorates King Harold, the last Saxon King of England, who rebuilt the church and was buried in the grounds.

The day will include displays and 'have a go sessions' including:

  • Archery
  • Craft Fayre
  • Medieval music
  • Hawks and Hunting Birds
  • Demonstrations of saxon crafts
  • Living History and Arts Displays
  • Re-enactment and Fancy Dress
