Description
This station has step free access to both platforms from either side of Windmill Lane Level Crossing, approximately 75 metres walking route from one to the other. A stepped footbridge exists between platforms.

History of Cheshunt Rail Station

Circa Jan 1905The platforms were extended in 1905
1st Oct 1891The station was rebuilt due to the opening of the Churchbury Loop
Circa Jan 1881In 1881 a footbridge was provided between the two platforms.
31st May 1846The existing station was opened by the Eastern Counties Railway on 31 May 1846
1st Jun 1842The temporary station closed on this day
15th Sep 1840The line from Stratford to Broxbourne was opened by the Northern & Eastern Railway on 15 September 1840, although using a temporary station on Cadmore Lane to the north of the current station.
