History of New Cross Rail Station

27th Apr 2010London Overground services took over from the London Underground on this day, following upgrades to the East London Line.
31st Mar 1913Services operated by the London Underground's Metropolitan Railway started from New Cross and worked through to Kensington Addison Road via Kings Cross.
30th Jun 1911On this day, East London Line passenger services south of New Cross station ceased.
Circa Jan 1854The station is renamed New Cross at some point in 1854.
28th Jan 1851A fire badly damaged the goods shed and several trains inside - the third fire in the past few years.
Circa Oct 1850The New Cross & Naval School station opened in October 1850.
