History of Greenwich station

20th Nov 1999The DLR platforms opened on this day.
1st Feb 1878The station, which had been a terminus for the railway from London Bridge became a through station with the opening of an extension to Maze Hill on this day.
24th Dec 1838Greenwich station opened on this day using a temporary station building which was replaced with the current entrance in 1840.
