History of Bushey Rail Station

21st May 2024Increased numbers of morning peak hours trains started calling at the station.
24th Sep 1982Bakerloo line trains stopped calling at the station on this date.
16th Feb 1980The 20:25 Euston to Manchester train derailed at the station due to a broken rail track. One serious injury and a few minor injuries were caused. The track required extensive repairs and did not reopen fully until 25 February 1980. The little used platform 3 was extensively damaged in the accident and remained closed until 2011.
6th May 1974The station was renamed from "Bushey & Oxhey" to "Bushey".
16th Apr 1917Bakerloo line trains served the station from today (until 1982).
