The Illuminated River Foundation, which has been lighting up the Thames river bridges has partnered with Thames Festival Trust to introduce a new Illuminated River category in their ThamesLens photography competition.
Spanning nine bridges from Lambeth to London Bridges, Illuminated River is a long-term art installation that lights up the bridges between Lambeth Bridge and London Bridge with individual lighting effects.
The competition encourages non-professional photographers to capture unique shots of the River Thames and what it personally means to them with the theme ‘My Thames Vision‘.
The public can submit photographs of the Illuminated River artwork at night for the chance to win the following prizes:
- First prize/ overall winner: £500 cash prize, plus an exclusive dinner cruise x 2 with City Cruises
- Second prize: Philips Hue Smart lighting system, plus an exclusive dinner cruise x 2 with City Cruises
The competition closes to entries on Friday 28 January 2022.
The winners of the Illuminated River category will be chosen by a panel of representatives from Thames Festival Trust, Port of London Authority, and Sarah Gaventa.
