Canterbury Works Headhouse and ventilation shaft serves the Euston Tunnels for both ventilation and emergency access. This presentation focuses on the construction of the shaft and tunnels using underpinned segments, sprayed concrete lining, reinforced concrete collars and cast in-situ secondary lining.
The presentation will be delivered by members of the construction and design team and will focus on the design and construction of the primary and secondary lining featuring geotechnical challenges, site setup, and innovations.
