Description

View six creative proposals for lighting central London’s celebrated bridges.

The Illuminated River Foundation Charity and the Mayor of London launched an international design competition in June 2016, inviting teams of artists, lighting designers, engineers, architects and technology experts from across the globe to collaborate and propose ideas for creative light art installations for central London’s bridges.

The Illuminated River is a free exhibition that presents the six shortlisted teams and their designs. You can check out their ideas, listen to a video of the teams explaining their visions, and fill in the online survey to share your views on the project.

The winning design will create public art through light on central London’s bridges and provide the city with a new free and accessible attraction.

You can share your thoughts about these six visions and how the river and its bridges might be transformed after dark, by joining the conversation here.

Exhibition Space at Royal Festival Hall (Levels 3 & 4 Blue Side)
