Description

Kateřina Šedá’s first solo exhibition at Bosse & Baum and solo projects since 2011, presents models of houses originally realised for the garden of a home for the elderly in Lower Austria, and presents a view of the project Herzlich Willkommen, realised in Austria and Slovakia between 2019-2021.

The model houses were based on the designs of the occupants’ former homes, and also function as bird houses, becoming a place of focus for the carers and elderly in the home to enjoy.

The design, sketches and sculptures were made in close cooperation with individual seniors, who also had a major influence on the final form of their houses. The installation presented at Bosse & Baum in June 2023 will also include series of sketches and photographs relating to the project.
