This event has finished Took place on: Wednesday, 20th Sep 2023

 £16.96

From the Jacobean Lady of the House to the Victorian housekeeper to today’s estates manager, our keeper of the keys’s access to Charlton House has always been unmatched.

For an hour, you’ll have their right-of-passage, led by an expert guide as you explore the corners of the House rarely seen by the public. An attic that once housed female servants and a summer house cellar that has been both a kitchen and a bomb shelter are just the beginning.

Discover the lesser known half of 400 years of history, through the eyes of those who have known it best.

One glass of prosecco included.

Please be advised that this tour brings you around the five floors of a 400-year-old Jacobean house. There will be many stairs on the tour, and they do not currently have a lift.
