Crossness Open Day

Header image for Title

This event has finished Took place on: Sunday, 12th Mar 2023

 £12

This is an opportunity to have a look at the buildings and engines, to take in the exhibition and learn something of the Victorian sewer system which continues to serve the capital.

The engine Prince Consort will not be in steam - we are investigating the likely cause of some cracks in cast ironwork near the engine.

Light refreshments will be available and the shop will offer some interesting items for sale. Families can join the learning team for a free make and take craft activity and explore the Crossness site with our children’s activity trail.

Our car park is about 600m from the main building - blue badge holders will be able to park much closer to the building. If you travel by public transport we are quite remote so it may be worth getting a taxi. The nearest station is Abbey Wood.
