£4 £4A garden laid out in 1907 by a previous owner who lived to be 101. Since 1976 replanting has taken place and a lot of new planting added.
Spring shrubs and many bulbs; narcissi, muscari, anemones and tulips create a tapestry around the lawn (once a tennis court).
An area of ferns and acers leads to a large rockery, pool and a striking cedar of Lebanon.
The garden attracts bees and birds. Roses, summer planting and the majestic, mature trees (yews, copper beeches, oak and ginkgo) make it a garden for all seasons.
