Free FreeThe Romans are coming to the British Museum!
Our historical re-enactors will be setting up camp on the forecourt at the Museum, offering you the opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of early Roman Britain.
Find out about the life of a soldier stationed in the Roman province of Britain, keep an eye out for a military march-past and peek inside the Mithraeum, a sacred temple to the god Mithras. Watch as a new fresco is created using the pigments and tools available to a Roman artist and take photographs as a memento of the day.
Once you've embarked on your Roman adventure, head into the Museum to the Roman Empire gallery (Room 70) and take on fun family missions.
