The Churches Conservation Trust are delighted to announce the 50th Anniversary Debate taking place in the lecture theatre at the Victoria and Albert Museum with a welcome from Dr Tristram Hunt.
There are 16,000 parish churches in England, many of them representing a great legacy of this country's local history. However, with congregations dwindling, who is going to look after them in the future? Author and CCT Trustee Sir Simon Jenkins and Revd. Sally Hitchiner lead opposing teams in debating the future of care for historic church buildings.
The audience will have a chance to join in the debate both formally and afterwards during a drinks reception in the Silver Galleries of the V&A Museum.
