Dinosaur Day - Behind the Scenes Conservation Tours

This event has finished Took place on: Saturday, 9th Sep 2017

 Free

Bring the family down to Crystal Palace Park to get up close and personal with the famous Crystal Palace Dinosaurs. Following major conservation work on some of the most at risk dinosaurs, join our conservators for a behind-the-scenes tour on the island, an area not usually open to the public.

Max group size 4 people. Tickets should also be booked for children.

The behind the scenes tours are part of Dinosaur Day at Crystal Palace Park. Join us to experience the many ways the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs are one of London's most surprisingly rich and delightful historic sites. We will have talks and workshops for all ages on conservation, history and science of these stupendous sculptures and the site that launched 'Dinomania'. We are celebrating recent conservation of a number of our most at-risk sculptures as part of the nationwide Heritage Open Days.
