Medieval graffiti are the stories of the regular everyday person hidden in plain sight in numerous historic buildings throughout the UK. The study of these curious markings has grown exponentially over the past few years, with surveys popping up all over the country seeking to record and interpret their meanings. Come learn about how to find graffiti and what sort of stories they could be telling.
Crystal Hollis has been staring at walls for five years. Enthusiastic about old buildings, community education, and history, she contributes to various web sites on the subject of graffiti as well as speaks to a wide range of audiences. Her most notable work focuses on the discovery of medieval inscriptions in a transplanted French chapel currently located in Milwaukee, WI USA
