DP World Gateway London's Newest Deep Sea Container Terminal

To build the port, a 100km channel was dredged in the River Thames. This means that we are now able to dock the world’s largest container vessels just 25 miles from the centre of London. The port uses robot cranes to load and unload trucks as well as trains and the world’s largest quay cranes to load and unload ships.

About the speaker

Matt Abbott is the communications officer at DP World London Gateway. His responsibility is to manage the hub’s communications with the media, the community, customers and all of their other stakeholders.
