Free FreeTo build the port, a 100km channel was dredged in the River Thames. This means that we are now able to dock the world’s largest container vessels just 25 miles from the centre of London. The port uses robot cranes to load and unload trucks as well as trains and the world’s largest quay cranes to load and unload ships.
