In the 1860s and around the turn of the century two Orleans pretenders to the French throne lived at York House, Twickenham. Four children of the Comte de Paris were born there, including the Duc d’Orleans who bought the house back in 1896. Sir David Williams will give an illustrated talk on these exiled princes in the Salon, a room still showing much of the Orleans legacy.
