Battersea Arts Centre as part of Wandsworth Heritage Festival

Come for a free guided tour of the old Battersea Town Hall to learn more about the building’s fascinating radical history and discover how things are changing at BAC in the aftermath of the fire in March this year. Tours are at 1 and 3pm.

Since January, members of the Wandsworth U3A have been taking part in a project at BAC, working with schoolchildren and artists and meeting local residents who were evacuated during WW2. Drop in to BAC between 11am- 5pm to hear the stories they have uncovered. There will be audio recordings of locally evacuated people telling their fascinating tales, real objects from the War and artistic responses from the project’s participants.
