The City of London and its workers have had a bad press over the last decade with stories of greedy bankers, enormous bonuses, party lifestyles and ripping off ordinary workers and their pension funds! But what many forget are the numerous charities the City and its people support – and it has always been thus, as Julie Chandler leads us through the City’s philanthropic history.
Starting at Aldgate Underground Station, this stroll around the eastern side of the City is accessible for all. The Metropolitan and Circle Lines are not scheduled to have any engineering work on 21st March.
No need to book, just pay the guide on the day.
